The Singaporean gaming company, Razer, has announced a mobile game controller for iPhone. The Razer Junglecat is another controller that wants to make gaming on your mobile device much more satisfying.
At first glance, the Junglecat controller reminds us of Sony’s earliest attempt to make a gaming centric Android device, the Xperia Play. The controller’s dimensions are 150 x 65 x 18 mm and its slim profile makes it easy to pocket. The slideout pad holds a D-pad, 4 action buttons, and a pause button and these tuck away easily when not in use. Not only the action buttons are configurable (you can set the whatever actions you want them to execute) but you can also adjust their pressure sensitivity. All these configurations can be saved as a profile and you can save up to 20 different profiles.
The configurations are done using a companion app but Razer has yet to release it. The app will also list out all the games that the Junglecat has been optimised for so that you don’t have to waste your gaming time doing such menial task as looking for one.
With the Junglecat, Razer is going head-to-head with the likes of ACE POWER Controller from MOGA as well as the PowerShell Controller + Battery from Logitech, which is already available in Malaysia.
